Alumni Homecoming and Family Weekend

We’re so excited to invite you and your family to 2023 Alumni Homecoming and Family Weekend. Whether you’re from the Class of 1968 or 2018, celebrate your Brescia Era by coming home and enjoying a weekend packed with fun activities for alumni and families alike. Tee off the weekend at the Bearcat Golf Scramble, enjoy food trucks and live music at the Brescia Block Party, join us for traditions like Barney’s Pancake Breakfast and Chariot Races, have fun with the family at the Brescia Fall Festival, cheer on the Bearcat Soccer teams at Kamuf Park, and more this year at Alumni Homecoming and Family Weekend. Thursday, September 28th
6:30 PM – Return to the Arch Alumni Speaker Series: Kristen Small ‘21 – Roberts Auditorium, C.E. Field Center for Professional Studies
 
Kristen Small ’21 is the Director of Clinical Practice Administration, Nashville Emotional Wellness Counselling, PLLC. 
 
Friday, September 29th
8 AM – Bearcat Golf Scramble presented by Baird: The O’Bryan, Hawley Taylor Group – Ben Hawes Golf Course
 
Tee off with fellow Bearcats at Ben Hawes Golf Course in the annual Bearcat Golf Scramble, with proceeds benefiting the Alumni Association and the Bearcat Golf Programs. 
 
6 PM to 9 PM – Brescia Block Party – Quad
Live music, food trucks, and stations hosted by Brescia faculty and students! 
Class of 1973 Reunion.
 
Saturday, September 30th
9 AM – Barney’s Pancake Breakfast – Alumni Hall (7th Street)
 
Dig into a free pancake breakfast sponsored by the Brescia University Alumni Association and Grant Collins ’14  with Advanced Investment Management.
 
10 AM – Chariot Races – Alumni Hall (7th Street)
 
Watch the time-honored tradition of Bearcats racing the Brescia Chariots down 7th street for cash prizes and their name on the Chariot Bell. 
 
11 AM – Brescia Fall Festival – Quad
 
Bring the family for inflatables, fun games, festival foods, and more in the Brescia Quad! 
 
11 AM – Women’s Soccer Homecoming Match – Kamuf Park (5500 Todd Bridge Rd)
 
Free admission for alumni.
 
2 PM – Men’s Soccer Homecoming Match – Kamuf Park (5500 Todd Bridge Rd)
 
Free admission for alumni.
 
6 PM – Distinguished Alumni Awards 
 
Join us as we honor the 2023 Class of Brescia University Distinguished Alumni with dinner and a dessert and cocktail reception to follow. Advance ticket required, $45. To purchase tickets, click here
 
9 PM – Lip Sync Battle – Taylor Lecture Hall
 
Enjoy the show as Bearcats show off their lip sync talents in competition for cash prizes! 
 
Sunday, October 1st
10 AM – Homecoming Mass – Immaculate Heart of Mary Chapel
 
11 AM – Homecoming Brunch – O’Bryan’s Dining Hall
 
Join us for a free Brunch after Mass to close the weekend.

Alumni Awards

Each year the Brescia University Alumni Association presents two awards to alumni who’ve made a difference: The Father Charles Saffer Alumni Hall of Fame Award and the Outstanding Alumnus Award. The Father Charles Saffer Alumni Hall of Fame Award is presented to an alum who through a lifetime of personal achievement has personified the ideals of Brescia University, and the Outstanding Alumnus Award is presented to an alum who has showcased outstanding service to the Alumni Association and/or Brescia University.
