The Office of Student Affairs is here to assist you in your collegiate journey. Our motto is “I become me, by becoming we.” We believe that we become fully alive by putting others first. We become the best versions of ourselves when we live for others and serve others. Whether you serve others on your own, with your team, or as a part of a club or organization, you will find opportunities to become part of something larger than yourself: a community.
The best way to reach your full potential at Brescia University is to become involved. Not only do students who become engaged with the community feel accepted and possess a sense of belonging, involved students do better academically. Residence life, intramurals, student activities, campus ministry events, athletics, and the arts are among the opportunities to become involved. Find your passion and pursue it.
You will find during your time at Brescia you have grown in ways you could have never imagined. We are here to assist as you develop academic competencies, learn to manage emotions, become more independent, discover your strengths, cultivate positive relationships, identify your goals, and define your values.
I hope you take full advantage of the opportunities presented to you this year and that you do so with a spirit of service. A humble heart and an ethos of hard work will take you far in life so I challenge you to begin cultivating these virtues now. I look forward to the possibilities before us as a community, and I am privileged to share in your journey.
