Clubs and Organizations

Brescia University offers a diverse number of organizations and clubs for students. Some are focused on leadership, while others simply join like minds together for fun and fellowship. Listed below are organizations recognized by the Student Government Association.

Student Government Association (SGA) 

SGA provides a representative government and a voice for the concerns of the undergraduate, graduate, and BU Online students; a method to promote involvement in the campus community; a forum for the communication to the University’s faculty and administration, and to serve the best interest of the students and the University.

The SGA represents all students of Brescia University. It is the purpose of the SGA to be active in the life of the University, to explore and discuss issues within and outside of this learning community, to render service to the students of Brescia and to fulfill its role as the representative body and advocate on behalf of the students to the faculty and administration of Brescia. All students enrolled at Brescia constitute the membership of SGA. The Executive Branch includes the President, who serves as a Board member and appoints students to Board Committees, Vice President, the Parliamentarian, Secretary, Treasurer, Representative to the Administration, and the Historian.

Alpha Chi National Honor Society

Alpha Chi recognizes and promotes outstanding scholarship and the character to use that scholarship for good.

Black Student Union

The Black Student Union promotes awareness and unity within the minority and African American community to all Brescia University students.

Brescia Arts Club

The Brescia Arts Club provides an artistic outlet for Brescia University students.

Brescia Social Work Association

The Social Work Association promotes community service and provides opportunities for discussion of important social concerns.

Brescia Students for Life

Brescia Students for Life seeks to promote respect for life at Brescia and the surrounding community, to educate on life issues, to help those in need so that life is a promising choice and to work with others who share a common goals.

Delight Ministries

Delight is a ministry for college women that grows together, serves together, learns together, and does life together while chasing the heart of God.

Freshman Class Council (FCC)

The Freshman Class Council is an organization that seeks to provide a system of support, programming and a method of campus involvement for all new students of Brescia University.

History Club

The purpose of the History Club is to educate campus about current, as well as past, events. The history club may accomplish this purpose through documentaries, lectures, discussion panels, and/or other events.

Ichabod Society

The Ichabod Society works together to advance the values of reading, writing, and all matters intellectual on our campus.

Kentucky Educators Association (KEA) & Council for Exceptional Children (CEC) KEA

KEA and CEC seeks to provide opportunities for personal growth, professional development, understanding of the teaching profession, participation in cooperative work, and strive for higher standards of preparation. CEC – to improve the educational success of individuals with disabilities and/or gifts and talents.  It is an international community of educators who are the voice and vision of special and gifted education.  Its mission is to improve the quality of life for individuals with exceptionalities and their families through professional excellence and advocacy.

Math and Computer Science Club

The Math and Computer Science Club purpose is to educate those interested in math and computer science through fun, light exercises, and discussion related to math and computer sciences.

Multicultural Club

The Multicultural Club purpose is to promote intercultural and international knowledge, understanding, and sensitivity among members of the Brescia community. 

Music Club

The Music Club exits to provide live music for Brescia University events, enhance school spirit and fellowship, raise awareness of the importance of Arts, and share the gift of music.

National Student Speech Language and Hearing Association (NSSLHA)

Brescia’s NSSLHA chapter’s purpose is to promote awareness of speech-language pathology and audiology as a profession and enrich the knowledge and understanding of both undergraduate and graduate students.

Phi Alpha National Social Work Honor Society

The Phi Alpha Honor Society provides a closer bond among students of social work and promote humanitarian goals and ideas.

Political Science Club

The Political Science Club works to actively engage, inform, and further explore the interest of the study of political science and its subfields. 

Project LETS

Project LETS goal is to provide support and advocate for students who have experience with mental illness, disability, and/or neurodivergence. 

Psychology Club

The Psychology Club seeks to challenge, stimulate, and provide an environment that will promote growth among individuals interested in psychology and other related fields.

Sophomore Class Council (SCC) 

The Sophomore Class Council seeks to provide support, programming, and a method of campus involvement aimed at representing the interests of all second year students of Brescia University. 

Student Activities Program Board (SAPB)

SAPB is an organization that serves as the main student programming board on campus, responsible for a wide array of entertainment and educational programming.

Student Athlete Advisory Committee

The purpose of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee is to be a voice for all student-athletes at Brescia University and disseminate information to their respective teams and the Brescia University Athletic Department.
