Brescia University invites the greater Owensboro community to participate in the sixth annual Blessing of the Pets on Thursday, October 4, 2012 at 5:30 pm in the Brescia Quad. This event is in celebration of St. Francis of Assisi’s Feast Day. Over the years we’ve had pets including dogs of all sizes, cats, frogs, and a snake.
Prior to the blessing, those in attendance will learn how St. Francis became the patron saint of animals.
