New Chair of the Brescia University Board of Trustees

Brescia University’s Board of Trustees announces the recent appointment of its new chair, Vicki M. Stogsdill, during its June meeting. Stogsdill is the first non-Ursuline, female board chair in the University’s 61 year history. She begins her appointment July 1, 2011.

Stogsdill is Chief Nursing Officer and Vice President of Nursing at Owensboro Medical Health System. She has more than 30 years of leadership at OMHS. In 2007 she was recognized by the American Nurses Credentialing Center as a Master in Advanced Nursing Administration. She received the Chamber of Commerce Athena Award in 2008 and was named a Fellow with the American College of Healthcare Executives in 2010. Stogsdill currently serves as treasurer for the Kentucky Organization of Nursing Leaders, and chair of the finance committee at St. Peter Alcantara Church. She is the past chair of the Daviess County United Way, past chair of the American Red Cross, and a past member of the City of Owensboro’s Strategic Planning Committee.

Stogsdill has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Kentucky. She also has a Master’s of Business Administration from Western Kentucky University.

She is married to Jack Stogsdill and they have three daughters.
