Student Leadership Opportunities

Brescia University offers a range of student leadership opportunities that empower students to make a meaningful impact on campus life while building valuable skills for the future. Whether you’re passionate about mentoring peers, planning events, or creating a welcoming residential community, there’s a leadership role for you.

Leadership Positions

Resident Assistant (RA): RAs support students in residence halls by fostering a positive living environment, fostering community, and serving as a resource for campus policies and student safety and well-being.

Orientation Leader (OL): OLs guide new students through their transition to university life, leading orientation sessions, answering questions, and helping to create a welcoming atmosphere.

Peer Educator: Peer Educators promote health, wellness, and academic success by facilitating icebreakers, leading class discussions, assisting the instructor, providing peer support, and connecting students to campus resources.

Student Activities Program Board (SAPB) Member: SAPB members plan and execute campus events, from social gatherings to educational programs, enhancing the overall student experience.

 

How to Get Involved

Getting involved in student leadership is a rewarding way to grow personally and professionally. Here’s how you can start:

  • Explore Your Options: Learn more about each position through the Office of Student Affairs, current student leaders, or campus events.
  • Attend an Interest Meeting: These sessions provide insights into each role’s responsibilities and the application process.
  • Submit an Application: Complete the leadership application form in the Spring semester and provide any required materials, such as references or essays.
  • Interview: Participate in an interview to showcase your passion and qualifications.
