PA 675: Surgery – Clinical Rotation

This five-week rotation offers students practical clinical experience in surgery. During this rotation, students will actively participate in all aspects of patient care, including history-taking, conducting thorough physical examinations, designing treatment plans, assisting in surgical procedures, and providing follow-up care. A key focus of the course is the application of patient and family education regarding treatment and preventive measures. Students will develop the skills necessary to effectively communicate essential health information, ensuring that patients and their families are engaged and informed throughout the surgical care process. Through this immersive experience, students will gain valuable skills and knowledge that will prepare them for their future role as a surgical PA.
