PA 672: Behavioral Health – Clinical Rotation

This five-week rotation offers students practical clinical experience in behavioral medicine. Throughout this rotation, students will actively participate in all aspects of patient care, including history-taking, conducting thorough physical examinations, designing treatment plans, and evaluating patient outcomes. A significant emphasis of the course is on the application of patient and family education in the context of treatment and preventive measures. Students will learn to effectively communicate critical health information, fostering a collaborative approach that enhances patient understanding and engagement in their mental health care. Through this immersive experience, students will develop the essential skills and knowledge necessary for their future role as a behavioral medicine PA.
