PA 663: Clinical Reasoning and Problem-Solving III

This course is designed to help students develop analytical skills necessary for assessing patient conditions using clinical data to create differential diagnoses and treatment plans. Through collaborative group work, students will engage in case-based learning, progressing from diagnosis to therapy and anticipated outcomes. The curriculum includes a series of small-group case exercises, fostering collaboration and integration of knowledge across specialties. Additionally, this course will focus on special populations, including psychiatry, women’s and men’s health, pediatrics, and geriatrics. By examining these diverse areas, students will enhance their understanding of the unique considerations necessary for effective patient care across various demographics. As a longitudinal course, it runs concurrently with the system courses during the second, third, and fourth semesters of the PA program.
