In this course, students will expand upon the patient care concepts in the Essentials of PA Practice series by exploring ethical principles relevant to practical decision-making and problem-solving in healthcare. The curriculum focuses on risk management strategies and the legal aspects of informed consent and confidentiality, highlighting students’ responsibilities in these areas. Additionally, students will examine healthcare policy at both national and local levels, analyzing its impact on healthcare delivery and the practice of medicine as a PA.
