PA 602: Technical Skills and Surgery II

This course serves as a continuation of Technical Skills and Surgery I, further developing students’ proficiency in essential clinical skills. Students will learn to perform critical procedures, including casting and splinting, incision and drainage, and wound closure. The course will also cover minor surgical procedures, joint injections, and lumbar punctures. In addition to hands-on techniques, students will gain an understanding of the principles of surgery, encompassing pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative care. This comprehensive approach will equip students with the practical skills and knowledge necessary to provide effective surgical care in clinical settings.
