Brescia University has named Dr. Todd Palmer, as its Vice President of Student Experience, a cabinet-level position focused on enhancing student success and engagement across the university.
In this role, Palmer will provide strategic leadership for student engagement, development, and retention. He will champion a holistic student experience from enrollment through graduation in an environment that promotes academic excellence, service to others, leadership, and personal growth.
“Dr. Palmer has demonstrated a deep commitment to Brescia University and our students throughout his years of service. His leadership experience and background in social work and naturally caring heart make him ideal for this critical role. Dr. Palmer understands the importance of fostering the supportive, student-centered environment that today’s students need to thrive,” said Madison Silvert, Brescia University president. “As Vice President of Student Experience, he will help ensure every student is prepared for success beyond Brescia.”
Palmer brings more than 15 years of higher education experience to the position. He most recently served as Interim Vice President of Student Affairs, and as Associate Vice President of Academic Affairs at Brescia University for two years prior to that appointment.
Throughout his tenure at Brescia, he has held several leadership roles, including Chair of the Marilyn Younger Conley School of Social Work, Director of the Bachelor of Social Work Program, Chair of the Faculty Assembly and Representative to the Board of Trustees, and member of the President’s Strategic Council and Planning Committee.
Before joining Brescia, Palmer served as a Specialist with the University of Kentucky Targeted Assessment Program, providing assessment and support services to families involved with the Department of Community-Based Services. He also has professional experience as a behavioral clinician and psychiatric hospital therapist.

Palmer’s credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Evansville, a Master of Social Work from the University of Southern Indiana, and a Doctorate of Social Work with a concentration in Administrative Leadership from the University of Kentucky.
