Brescia Athletes Receive Conference Recognition

Three Brescia University athletes were recognized by the River States Conference for the 2016-2017 All-Conference teams and awards.

Dillion Geralds, a guard/forward from Tompkinsville, Kentucky, was named to the River States Conference Men’s Basketball first team. Geralds was the leading scorer for Brescia University this season, averaging 19.5 points per game. Geralds finished the regular season with 233 rebounds and 34 assists.

To date, Geralds has scored over 800 points for the Bearcats in his two years at Brescia University and ranks in the top 25 in the NAIA Division II in Offensive Rebounds per game.

Adam Wilkinson, a junior guard from Southhampton, Great Britain, was named to the 2016-2017 River States Conference Men’s Basketball Champions of Character team. This team is made up of players who best exhibit the five character values of the NAIA’s Champions of Character program of respect, responsibility, integrity, servant leadership and sportsmanship.

The men’s basketball team is heading into post-season play as a number four seed and will take on the number one seed in the west, IU East, on February 22nd at 8 pm.

Jayde Robinson, a center from Elkton, Kentucky, was named to the 2016-2017 River States Conference Women’s Basketball Champions of Character team. This team is made up of players who best exhibit the five character values of the NAIA’s Champions of Character program of respect, responsibility, integrity, servant leadership and sportsmanship.

Robinson averaged 7.19 points per game and scored a career high 19 points in the game against Midway in her first year for the Bearcats.
