Brescia University Celebrates Students’ Academic Achievements

Brescia University held its annual Honors Convocation on Sunday to celebrate the academic achievements of its students and awarded a number of honors, scholarships and other recognition.

IMG_1517Brescia University alumna Kristiin Burden Reilein ’99 was the featured speaker and addressed the students on her advice to being successful; being all in in whatever you do, being willing to change your course when needed, valuing your education and thank your professors for what they have done for you and always working hard.

“Be bold, and take advantage of opportunities. Be the Brescia Difference,” Reilein said encouraging the honorees. “Value your education. I have firsthand knowledge of educational backgrounds, reading comprehensive, writing abilities and interview skills of potential employees and I am here to tell you that your education you received at Brescia is equal, and in many aspects, superior to any other educational institution.”

Reilein is an Intelligence Analyst for the FBI who has dedicated her career to protecting the national security of the United States. She earned a BA in history and professional writing from Brescia University, a JD from Thomas Cooley Law School, and an MA in national security from the University of Kentucky. She was also one of ten alumni recently inducted into Owensboro High School’s Hall of Achievement on April 22nd.
