The Brescia University Women’s Basketball team will host Point Park University on Wednesday, February 24th for the first round of the KIAC Conference Tournament. Tip-off is at 6 pm in “The Den” at Brescia University.
The Lady Bearcats closed out of the season on Saturday, rolling past Rio Grande with a 112-91 win. The team finished the season with a 13-5 conference record placing them at second in the KIAC Capital Division conference and third overall. A win will allow the Lady Bearcats to move on to the second round of the tournament taking on the winner of the IU East and Alice Lloyd College game also taking place tomorrow. The semifinals will be on February 27th with the finals following on March 1st.
The Men’s Basketball team will be traveling to Pittsburgh, PA to take on Point Park University at home. The team finished the season with a 9-7 conference record, placing them at third in the KIAC Capital Division. A win tomorrow on the road will guarantee them a spot in the semifinals, pitting them against the winner of the Rio Grande and Alice Lloyd game.
Admission for the KIAC tournament games hosted at Brescia University will be $5. Brescia University students, faculty and staff can attend free with a Brescia University ID card. No other passes are honored for KIAC Tournament play.
