School of Business Receives International Accreditation

AASBI-ACCREDITED 2013-LOGOBrescia University’s William H. Thompson School of Business was recently given full accreditation by the Asian Association of Schools of Business International (AASBI). Brescia University is one of three universities in the United States, and one out of eleven across the globe, to receive this three-year accreditation.

“We are excited to be recognized by the AASBI as an accredited member,” said Brescia School of Business Chair, Rohnn Sanderson, Ph.D. “We hope that this not only is a sign of the quality of our business program, but an opportunity for our students to be able to gain additional academic experiences at AASBI member institutions.”

According to the AASBI website, they grant accreditation only after a business school completes a statement of educational conditions in accordance with the AASBI’s Generally Accepted Education Standards. The statement is then audited by professional auditors. If satisfied that the business school meets all the standards, a site visit is conducted and at that point the accreditation is granted.
