Brescia University’s chapter of Alpha Chi has been named a Star Chapter for the 2012-2013 school year. According to the letter from the Alpha Chi executive director, fewer than 15% of Alpha Chi chapters across the nation received this honor.
This award includes local, national, and administrative components. Part of the criteria to be named a Star Chapter is the chapter must identify, invite, and induct new members. They must also lead the student members in at least one on-campus program in promotion of scholarship and one service project.
Brescia’s Alpha Chi Chapter will be recognized in March 2014 at the national convention in St. Louis, MO.
Dr. Chris Tiahrt and Dr. Vicki Tinsley are the chapter sponsors at Brescia University.
Alpha Chi, a national college honor society, admits students in all academic disciplines. Membership to Alpha Chi is limited to the top 10% of juniors, seniors, and graduate students at participating institutions.
