Alumnus Delivers Honors Convocation Speech

Brescia University is pleased to welcome back Joshua Clary, 2006 graduate of Brescia University, who will address students at this year’s Honors Convocation program on April 29, 2012.

Mr. Clary currently serves as the Dean of Students at St. Gregory’s University in Shawnee, OK, overseeing the student life program for the University. In 2011 Clary was appointed by the Board of Directors of ASACCU (Association of Student Affairs at Catholic Colleges and Universities) to spearhead the Best Practices for Mission Integration Project, which seeks to promote and share best practices which highlight Catholic identity and mission. Clary serves on the Dean of Students Working Group for the Center for Advancement for Catholic Higher Education. In addition Clary also serves on the Pottawatomie County Regional Epidemiological Task Force, which seeks to curtail drug and alcohol abuse in the greater Shawnee, OK region.

Clary graduated from Brescia University in 2006, earning a Bachelor of Arts in History, Magna Cum Laude, with Honors. He is currently finishing his Master of Science in Student Affairs and Higher Education from Indiana State University.

Clary currently resides in Shawnee, OK with his wife, Stephanie Quarles Clary, and their dog Sophie.

Brescia welcomes Clary back to campus to address students and their families at this year’s Honors Convocation, which takes place Sunday, April 29 at 2 p.m. in the Waitman Taylor Lecture Hall in the Science Building. Immediately following, there will be a “Celebration of Excellence” in the Campus Center.
