Brescia University will host an art exhibit by Doug DeWitt, restoration ecologist and mixed media sculptor. His mixed-media show, “Landscapes,” will remain in the Anna Eaton Stout Art Gallery from January 29 – March 5. DeWitt’s background in fine art, graphic design, exhibit design, and native habitat restoration influence his mixed-media “landscapes.” DeWitt says his works utilize “aesthetic qualities at specific stages between growth and deterioration.”
DeWitt received his Master of Arts from Illinois State University in 1990 and his Bachelor of Fine Arts from Bowling Green State University in 1985. He lives with his wife and two children in Mundelein, Illinois.
The opening reception for DeWitt’s exhibit takes place Saturday, January 29 from 7-9 p.m.
The Anna Eaton Stout Gallery is located on the second floor of the Brescia University Campus Center. Gallery hours are Monday through Friday, 8 – 4:30 pm.
