Brescia – A Best College in the South – Again

Brescia University ranks again in the top as one of “America’s Best Colleges.”

Brescia was chosen by U.S.News & World Report for a top 30 ranking in its 2010 edition of “America’s Best Colleges” in the category “Baccalaureate Colleges in the South.”

The U.S.News & World Report’s website says they collect most of their data from the colleges themselves. They measure up to 15 indicators of academic performance for each college and university. Each category is given a weight that reflects the U.S. News’ judgment on how each area matters. Then the colleges are ranked against their peers, based on the tally of the weighted scores. In the category Brescia was ranked in, the focus is on undergraduate education, granting fewer than 50 percent of their degrees in liberal arts.
