PA 662: Clinical Reasoning and Problem-Solving II

This course is designed to enhance students’ analytical skills in assessing patient conditions and utilizing clinical data to formulate differential diagnoses and treatment plans. Through collaborative group work, students will engage in case-based learning, progressing from diagnosis to therapy and anticipated patient outcomes. The curriculum includes a series of small-group case exercises, facilitating the integration of knowledge across various medical specialties, including endocrinology, gastroenterology, neurology, infectious disease, hematology/oncology, rheumatology, and orthopedics. Through this interactive approach, students will develop critical thinking skills and the ability to apply their learning in practical, real-world scenarios, ultimately enhancing their readiness for clinical practice. As a longitudinal course, it runs concurrently with the system courses throughout the second, third, and fourth semesters of the program.
