In this course, students will focus on the pathophysiology of neuropsychiatric, urinary and reproductive concepts, emphasizing homeostatic mechanisms and etiologies of disease. Students will examine the interrelationships between function and dysfunction across multiple levels of organization, including molecular, cellular, tissue, organ, and systemic levels. The curriculum will cover various disorders and diseases relevant to psychiatry, women’s and men’s health, pediatrics, geriatrics, and complementary/alternative medicine. Through this comprehensive approach, students will develop a thorough understanding of the complexities of health and disease, preparing them for effective clinical practice. As a longitudinal course, it runs concurrently with the system courses through the didactic phase of the program.
