Brescia students who have completed nine hours of Theology (6 in upper division) are eligible to take Th4xx – Advanced Tutorial in Theology, a directed study summer course in conjunction with Aquinas Institute of Theology in St. Louis, Missouri. The student receives 3 credit hours toward the undergraduate Brescia degree, and, upon successful completion of this course (B grade or higher) and admission into either the Theology or Social Work graduate program at Aquinas, the student also receives six (6) graduate hours credited toward either chosen field of study.
Brescia students majoring in Theology with an Emphasis in Pastoral Studies have the opportunity to earn a B. A. in Theology (w/Pastoral Studies emphasis) and an M.T.S. (Masters in Theological Studies) with Saint Meinrad School of Theology in five years. Toward the end of the program at Brescia the student takes one class at Saint Meinrad that counts as dual-credit, and the theology major capstone course at Brescia will count for three graduate credit hours at Saint Meinrad. Finally, Saint Meinrad will waive up to 12 additional graduate credit hours for any Brescia theology graduate who maintains a grade of “B” or better in all major coursework.
