Fall Enrollment Numbers Reach Highest Level in 46 Years

Fall enrollment is expected to be at the highest level in 46 years, the second highest level in school history.

The current total headcount is 1,054 students.

This enrollment increase makes the eighth consecutive year of undergraduate degree seeking enrollment growth for Brescia University.

Undergraduate degree seeking headcount currently rests well over 950 students with recruitment still on-going for the start of module 2, which begins in October.  This represents a double digit percentage increase over the final fall 2013 total of 858 degree seeking students. Enrollment is currently at Brescia’s highest level since fall 1968.

Enrollment numbers are fueled by a freshman class of 164 students (highest since Fall 1979) and 346 total new students, including transfer students.

“After eight consecutive years of enrollment growth, Brescia is no longer the best keep secret in Western KY,” said Chris Houk, Vice President for Enrollment Management. “This growth is directly attributable to the hard work and dedication of our entire community who model the Brescia Difference in their daily service.  I am excited with this continued success and look forward to completing the strategic planning goal of 1,000 undergraduate degree seeking students before the fall 2015 semester.”

“I am very pleased to have another increase in our degree seeking population,” said Fr. Larry Hostetter, President.  “Congratulations and gratitude to all of our faculty and staff for creating a quality educational environment. In a special way I want to thank all those involved with the recruitment of our students. Under the leadership of our Vice President for Enrollment Management we are meeting our goals of increasing students in a strategic and sustainable way.

Resident numbers have increased necessitating a move into several rentals properties adjacent to campus.

Students are enrolled from 48 separate states, the District of Columbia, several military installations, as well as ten foreign countries. There are 168 students enrolled at Brescia University from Daviess County, Kentucky.
