St. Ann Street Visiting Writers Series

Join us April 4th for the next installment of the St. Ann Street Visiting Writers Series.  The featured author is William Kelley Woolfitt and well as Brescia Student Showcase.

William Woolfitt is the author of three poetry collections: Beauty Strip (Texas Review Press, 2014), Charles of the Desert (Paraclete Press, 2016), and Spring Up Everlasting (Paraclete Press, forthcoming). His fiction chapbook The Boy with Fire in His Mouth (2014) won the Epiphany Editions contest judged by Darin Strauss. His poems, short stories, and essays have appeared or are forthcoming in Blackbird, Image, Tin House, The Threepenny Review, AGNI, Gettysburg Review, Poetry International, African American Review, Indiana Review, Ruminate, Michigan Quarterly Review, The Missouri Review, Epoch, Spiritus, and other journals. He is the recipient of the Howard Nemerov Scholarship from the Sewanee Writers’ Conference and the Denny C. Plattner Award from Appalachian Heritage. He’s an assistant professor of English at Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee.

The Brescia Student Showcase is a presentation of a selection of poems and stories from Brescia University undergraduate writers.
