Brescia University will commemorate Constitution Day on Tuesday, September 17, with a presentation by Morton Holbrook III. Holbrook’s talk is titled “The Constitution and Foreign Policy” and will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM in the Taylor Lecture Hall. The event is free and open to the public.
Morton Holbrook III, a native of Owensboro, was a career U.S. diplomat (Foreign Service Officer) for 32 years, with assignments in Taiwan, China, Japan, Philippines, France, and Hong Kong, as well as in Washington D.C., where he worked in the U.S. Department of State Legal Adviser’s Office. Since retirement as a diplomat, he has taught courses in U.S. Foreign Policy and in International Law at Brescia University and at Kentucky Wesleyan College. A graduate of Vanderbilt University (B.A., 1964), he also has law degrees from the University of Chicago and Columbia University.
