Brescia University and Timesavers Present: Film Screening of “Alive Inside” and One Hour Panel Discussion

Brescia University and Timesavers will host an upcoming film screening of “Alive Inside” followed by a one hour panel discussion.  This event will take place on March 21st at 6:00 PM in Taylor Lecture Hall and is free and open to the public, reservations are preferred.

“Alive Inside” is a documentary that follows social worker Dan Cohen, founder of the nonprofit organization Music & Memory, as he fights against a broken healthcare system to demonstrate music’s ability to combat memory loss and restore a deep sense of self to those suffering from it.

Following the film there will be an hour long panel discussion including Brenda Isenberg, Jessica Estes, Lauren Calhoun, and Amanda Morris.  Brenda Isenberg is the Director of Social Services at Wellington Park as well as a leader of community Alzheimer’s Support Group.  Jessica Estes, DNP, APRN-NP is the founder of Estes Behavioral Health, LLC.  She currently serves at the President of the Kentucky Coalition of Nurse Practitioners and Nurse Midwives and on the Board of Commissioners at ACEN. Lauren Calhoun is a member of the National Organization of Arts in Healthcare.  Amanda Morris is an Assistant Professor of Social Work at Brescia University and has several years of practice experience as a social worker in long term care and program director of a specialized dementia care unit.

Brescia University is offering a one credit hour CEU for the panel discussion.
