SSS Tutoring Program

Student Support Services Tutoring

SSS Tutor, Ashley Miller, and student, Katie Duff.

Student Support Services offers free tutoring for its participants. SSS strives to provide one-on-one tutoring sessions, but at times a group of two or three students will be formed when tutor availability is limited.

Tutoring begins the Monday of the first full week of classes each semester and ends on the Friday prior to Exam Week.

Participants meet with their tutor for an hour or two each week.

While English and math tutoring are the most requested, students frequently sign up for tutoring in courses ranging from Spanish to statistics and biology to theology. When a tutoring request is made, the tutor coordinator makes every effort to fill the request.

The tutors meet two or more of the following criteria:

  • Have received an A or B in the course to be tutored or a higher level course in the subject area
  • Have an overall GPA of 3.0

For more information about tutoring or to sign up for tutoring, contact our Tutor Coordinator, Diana Glover, at 270-686-4320 or [email protected].
