Brescia University is excited to launch a new initiative this summer to educate area teenagers and adults interested in the fine arts. It’s called “The Community Institute for the Arts at Brescia.” Those interested may enroll in the three week course which will meet for two hours, twice a week, for a total of six classes. These non-credit courses offer students an opportunity to work with the instructor to develop a path that fits their interests and needs. Areas of interest to be offered this summer are: Ceramics, Photography, Weaving, Intro to Theatre, and Interdisciplinary Art.
Registration for these summer fine arts courses will take place Thursday, June 2 at 6 pm in the Campus Center, located at 717 Frederica Street. Classes will begin June 13 and last until July 1.
Though there is no cost per course, a suggested $100 donation to the University is appreciated. For more information, please contact Jeff Rudnik, Assistant Dean of Students for Residence Life, at 270-686-4324.
