Law School Fair; Two Days. Five Schools. One All-Star Panel.

Brescia is pleased to announce the annual Law School Fair will span two days this year, welcoming visitors Monday, October 27 and Tuesday, October 28. Representatives from Indiana University, Bloomington and SIU Carbondale, as well as the University of Kentucky, University of Louisville and Northern Kentucky University will all be participating.

In addition to each college’s presentation and question/answer session, individuals will also have the opportunity to hear from an All-Star Panel of professionals from the Owensboro legal community as they discuss working in the legal profession and answer questions.

“The purpose of this event is to help individuals think through details of the legal profession, ask questions and learn more about the educational opportunities available to them in Kentucky and surrounding states. But it is important to note that this event is not merely for those who know they want to pursue law school; this is open to anyone who may not be certain of what profession they want to go into. By learning more about the legal profession, individuals may find a new career path for themselves,” stated Dr. Allen Gehring, Brescia University Assistant Professor of Philosophy.

The event differs from the years before, breaking up the informative sessions into two separate days.

“We are honored to be able to host the prestigious Indiana University, Bloomington and SIU Carbondale this year in addition to our dedicated law schools in the Commonwealth. Because the event continues to grow, we have elected to host a fair rather than a one-day event to allow participants the opportunity to meet with more schools,” said Dr. Gehring.

The schedule for the two days is as follows:

Day 1: Monday, October 27 at the Campus Center Study Pavilion

2:00-3:00 pm                      Presentation from UK, Louisville and Northern Kentucky Law Schools

3:00-4:00 pm                      All-Star Panel from Owensboro’s Legal Community

Day 2: Tuesday, October 28 at the Campus Center

11:00-2:00 pm:                  Indiana University, Bloomington and Southern Illinois University Law Schools at Grad School Day

In addition to the law schools participating, Brescia University will also be hosting a Grad School Day on October 28 that will feature a number of other Grad Schools for those interested in furthering their education.

Schools participating include Bellarmine University, Campbellsville University, Case Western FPB School of Nursing, St. Meinrad University and Western Kentucky University. A representative from Brescia University’s Graduate School will also be in attendance.
