After the university has received all of the above documents, and has offered you acceptance, your I-20 will be issued to you via mail.
Once you have received your I-20, you will need to pay a one-time SEVIS fee at least 3 days before going to the U.S. Embassy or Consulate to apply for an F-1 VISA. The Consular officer will review your application, confirm that the SEVIS fee has been paid, run a required security check, and grant the F-1 VISA.
