Information for Graduates

  1. Baccalaureate is the pre-graduation ceremony. It consists of a prayer service during which you’ll receive your tassels, alumni cards, and (for master’s graduates only), your hood. It is held at St. Stephen’s Cathedral Church, 610 Locust Street  (at the end of 7th on the west side of Frederica opposite the Science Building).

Please meet in the Science Building Taylor Lecture Hall Friday evening at 6:15 p.m. for the class picture and to get lined up for the procession across Frederica, down west 7th St., and into the Cathedral.

IN CASE OF STORMS, please meet in the St. Stephen Cathedral basement for the picture and lineup.

Family and friends are invited to the Baccalaureate ceremony. It usually lasts about 45 minutes, and starts at 7 p.m.

You should dress in your graduation gown and cap – it’s a great way to get your money’s worth!!

  1. GRADUATION is at the RiverPark Center down on the river (1st Street – but be advised, the Bar-be-que Festival will be in full spring, so you won’t be able to get on 1st You can park in the parking garage opposite the RiverPark Center, as long as you’re out by noon). The address is 101 Daviess St.

You should be at the RiverPark Center by 9:15 on Saturday morning. This gives us time to get you lined up, and be able to check you off as present so that the diploma you receive will have your correct name on it!!  Go all the way through the RiverPark Center Lobby to the Jody Berry Theatre at the back of the Center; that’s where you’ll line up. There will be alphabetical pages taped to the wall… find you last name’s letter.

If you are unable to attend the Baccalaureate to get your tassel, they will be available after 9 a.m. at the front coat-check desk of the RiverPark Center (Sr. Pam Mueller will be distributing them).

  1. For Seniors unable to be physically present, you’ve received the login information to watch the hour-long ceremony live as it occurs via the internet. On Friday sometime, the program for graduation will be posted on the Brescia website, so you can follow along with what you’re seeing and hearing.
