Campbellsville defeats Lady Bearcats, 85-75

Campbellsville overcame 29 turnovers to defeat visiting Brescia 85-75 on Tuesday night at Campbellsville University.
Reserve guard Wendi Messer scored a team-high 19 points for the Lady Tigers, hitting all three of her attempts from 3-point range.
Courtney Danis scored 14 points and Whitney Ballinger added 11 for Campbellsville.
Brittany Bird produced a game-best 21 points, six steals and four assists for Brescia, which also got 14 points from Christal Floyd and 13 points from reserve guard Clarissa Houston, who hit 3-of-5 from 3-point range.
The Lady Tigers were dominant on the glass, outrebounding the Lady Bearcats 42-25.
Campbellsville shot 57 percent from the field.
Brescia hit 8-of-12 3-point attempts (67 percent).
