Bird Lifts Brescia Into Title Game
Brittany Bird poured in 26 points to lift Brescia to a 61-55 victory over Berea in the semifinals of the Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Tournament on Friday afternoon at the Frankfort Convention Center.
KIAC BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT SEMIFINALS SET
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (February 25th, 2010) – The eight winners of Tuesday’s Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (KIAC) Basketball Championships are heading onto the Frankfort Convention Center in Frankfort, Kentucky for Friday’s play. Brescia Advances to KIAC Semi-Finals
The Lady Bearcats beat Alice Lloyd, 75-63, Tuesday night in the first round of the KIAC tournament. Clarissa Houston led BU in the victory with 23 points, shooting 6 of 13 from beyond the arc. As a team Brescia knocked down 42% of their shots, but they struggled from the foul line, making only 14 of their 28 attempts.

Brescia defeated Alice Lloyd College, 84-69, Saturday at the Campus Center in their last regular season contest. Brittany Bird notched another double-double in the victory, finishing with 28 points, 10 rebounds, and 8 assists.
Tough Defense Scores Bresica a Win
The Lady Bearcats played tenacious defense in their 52-40 win over conference opponent Midway College on Tuesday evening. BU held the Eagles to just 22% shooting and outrebounded them by 10, leading to an important win in the KIAC race to the tournament.

The Lady Bearcats had a great turn out for their Pink Zone game in support of Breast Cancer Awareness on Saturday.
Bearcats' Shooting Too Much For Harris Stowe
Clarissa Houston and Kendra McIntyre were both firing on all cylinders in Brescia's 72-68 win over Harris-Stowe University on Tuesday night. Houston and McIntyre splashed in 52% of their three point attempts, contributing 25 and 21 points respectively. Brittany Bird also chipped in 12 points and tallied 14 assists thanks to her teammates' shooting.

Brittany Bird (Jr. Millwood, KY) ) came out of the gate just five points shy of 1000 career points. Early in the game Bird scored two quick lay-ups to get to 999 points.

Houston leads Lady Bearcats vs Judson College
Clarissa Houston poured in 23 points as the Lady Bearcats hammered the host team Judson 86-58. Brescia limited Judson to 28 percent shooting and won the rebounding battle 64-28.
Lady Bearcats top Alice Loyd
The Brescia University Lady Bearcats came out of the gate to take an early lead 20-12. Alice Lloyd fought back to tie the game at 27. BU then made a 7-0 run into the half to be up 34-27.

The Lady Bearcats came out of the gate very strong with Clarissa Houston hitting two three pointers to give the Lady Bearcats a 6-0 lead. MCU battled back with two scores of their own to bring the game to 6-4.
Lady Bearcats Win Season Opener Over Harris-Stowe
The Lady Bearcats got down 3-2 in the first minute of the game, only to play well over the next 10 minutes to be up by seven points. Harris-Stowe pushed back to cut the lead to two points 32-30 at the half.
Brescia Picked Third in KIAC Preseason Poll
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (October 21st, 2009) - The 2009-10 Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Preseason Basketball Polls were released Wednesday. All coaches participated in the polling on the regular season finish of the teams. The coaches could not vote for their own team, leading to 49 points and seven first place votes being the most possible.
Lady Bearcats Complete Rocket Readers Mission
Members of the Brescia University Lady Bearcats basketball team spent the last six weeks mentoring students from Foust Elementary in an after school reading program called Rocket Readers.
Lady Bearcats Second Annual Blood Drive
The Brescia University Lady Bearcats basketball team held their second annual blood drive. The Western Kentucky Regional Blood Center and the Lady Bearcats set up the event at 9:00am and the event ended at 5:00pm.
