Aug. 15 Jan. 5 Payment due to hold position in classes. Failure to make this payment will result in cancellation of pre-registration and the student will need to register again.  See payment plans below.
Aug. 13-14 Fall Institute
Aug. 16 Jan. 27 Opening Academic Convocation/Founder’s Day
Aug. 16-19 New Freshman Orientation
Aug. 19 Registration during office hours, with payment for students not registered.
Aug. 20 Jan. 12 First day of regular on campus classes.
Aug. 20-26 Jan. 12-16 BUonline Mod #1 / #3 Begin. Last day to DROP: before 1st chat session.
Jan. 19 MLK Holiday. No Classes.
Aug. 27 Jan. 20 Last day to add/drop a regular class.
Aug. 28 – Oct. 15 Jan. 21 – March 6 WITHDRAW period with “W” entered on transcript for on-campus and full-semester online courses.
Sept. 1 Labor Day.  Campus closed.
Sept. 10 – 16 Feb. 2 – 6 Deadline for withdrawals (with “W” on transcript) from Mod #1 / #3 BU Online classes—before 4th week chat session.
Feb. 1 Final date for Application for Diploma to graduate in 2015. Kentucky State Grant deadline for FAF.  Kentucky Teachers Scholarship deadline.
Sept. 9 – Oct. 15 March 3 – Apr. 7 Course Warning Slips issued throughout this period
Oct. 3 Feb. 20 Incomplete grades due for previous semester.
Oct. 15 March 6 Last day for withdrawing with a “W” on transcript for semester classes.
Oct. 16-20 March 9-13 Semester Break. No classes.
Oct. 15-21 March 16-20 BU Online Mod #2 / #4 Begin; last day to DROP: before 1st chat session.
Nov. 1 March 1 Final payment due for students on the deferred payment plan. Late fees will be incurred for payments made after this date.
Nov. 5-11 April 6-10 Deadline for withdrawals (with “W” on transcript) from Mod #2 / #4 BU Online classes—before 4th week chat session.
Nov. 17-21 March 23-27 Preregistration for returning on-campus students.
Nov. 26-30 April 2-6 Thanksgiving Break/Easter Break. No classes.
April 26 Honors Convocation in Taylor Lecture Hall.
Dec. 8-11 May 4-7 Final exams. Semester exams taken on other than scheduled date – $10.00. Intrasemestral tests taken on other than scheduled date – $5.00.
May 8 Baccalaureate and Bestowal of Tassels/Master’s Hoods at St. Stephen’s Cathedral.
May 9 Commencement at the RiverPark Center.
Jan. 15 June 15 Final payment due for employer tuition reimbursement.

The University reserves the right to cancel any class for which there is not sufficient registration.

Admission to class for those who pay special tuition or audit is on a “space available” basis.

Fees are subject to change without notification. If withdrawal is not made officially, the student will receive an “F” for the course taken and will be charged in full.
